It’s Bonus time: Get Double Points for Your Answers Now!
For a strictly limited period, you can earn an extra 2 points for every question you answer.
‘Tis the time of year for saying “thank you”, giving gifts and rewarding hard work. Our way of saying “thank you” to you, the Yahoo! Answers community – for your hard work this year – comes in the form of this special bonus. Yes, it’s DOUBLE POINTS for every question you answer– four instead of two.

Why are we doing this?
We know you enjoy earning points on Yahoo! Answers, especially to move up through the levels. But we also know it can feel like slow progress at times, like a marathon… So, for a short while, we’re giving you the chance to sprint! With double points up for grabs, it’s a golden opportunity for you to make some big gains and go for the next level.
Has it started already? When does it end?
It’s live now from December 6th and will last for a limited period of time. Want to know when it will end? Well, we’re going to keep that a secret for now…
However, if you follow us on Twitter we’ll give regular updates of how long is left…
We’ll also notify you here, on the blog, as soon as it closes. In the meantime, make the most of it!
How do I get started?
It couldn’t be easier to get involved. Just sign-in (or sign-up if you’ve not visited before) and start answering questions. The browse categories page is a great place to start.
Tell us what you think about our Double Point bonus
We think offering double points is something you will appreciate… we hope it’s not like one of those terrible Christmas presents you just want to put back under the tree. But do let us know what you really think – we won’t be offended, promise.
Also, do let us know what you think by leaving a comment.

What can I “buy” with the extra points?
Oh Man !!
Instead of extra 2 points, I was expecting monetary reward (adsense kind of thing)

Jst kidding
I liked unique reward of urs. I was suprised to see my activity details when it said “You hv got 4 points for answering a question”.
Thanx for ur gesture
Hi ,
Thank you for your kindness .
Do you really add all the points , or sometimes Yahoo answers skip few points .
Nice gesture.
Giving the extra 2 points for Choosing a Best Answer would have been much better, that would have maybe helped get more users to choose best answers instead of letting it go to voting where the cheating is rampant.
Now all those answering just for points with crappy answers are being rewarded for pointgaming.
This will be a good time not to bother answering and reporting those that post nonsense will take up more time and with all the spammers now getting double points there won’t be much time for those that do report and care about the quality of the site to do much answering.
sounds great if you are at level one[hee,ha,]so question is will it be 20 points for best answer because thats what i’m really about[not serious].I think it will be more exciting if we compete for laptops\christmas cakes.
Answer about the same, need to lower or exchange points for donations, or to charity of choice, The idea being, using 10,000 points in exchange towards a Y! credit towards Children’s Hospital or Aids donation, or Relief funds, and such,
For a limited time only as well, maybe next year,
I think it’s a good idea for those who want more points to get to the next level, faster. People like me.
Why not increase best answer points too? Like 15-20???
Awesome!
I definetly love this sight, because it;s the one place where i know i can get an answer from real people with experience. It is easier than having to look through the web, and also gives u a chance to learn from and meet new people! I admit that my weakness lies in giving out answers, i just need to find a catagory that is based on giving out advice, maybe not facts! Yahoo rocks!!!
I’m enjoying this!
What would I be using my points for? Anu use… somebody answer.
Points don’t mean so much to me now that I am beyond the points needed to make it to level 7. What I would love to see is having the answers in VOTING voted for. Too many people do not pick best answers and these questions are waiting in the wings to have their best answer chosen.
Why not give double points for people to vote so some of these questions in Voting can have best answers chosen already??
This would give people the opportunity to increase their percentage of best answers and perhaps award badges to those who deserve them.
If only you had a facility to post comments on answers given by others. The comments, if any, should be shown beside the answer concerned. This will make Yahoo Answers much more interactive.
Whoopie for Double points, what are you going to do for us that are way past Level 7? What are we going to do with all these points? They are meaningless for me. What should I start a new account and put it to Level 7 just to say I took advantage of this? Start asking stupid questions just to “take advantage” of this offer? The worst part is we will see that spam bot garbage start leveling up as well now, as well as people with multiple accounts taking advantage of this to level up.
i think its a great idea, i like it, i already answer a lot of questions so it’ll make it easier to get more points when im busy working and cant get on yahoo answers
You are right. Everybody likes a challenge. I don’t know what the points are good for but I want more, for some unexplained reason. So, I will try to take advantage of your special.
Thanks Yahoo…………………………
New services arise new users arrive……….
Yyyyyyyyaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhoooooooooooooooo
It just seems like an added bonus to the point gamers to me. They abuse the system by having multiple accounts in order to vote for their own answers 8 times or more, and then they get rated “top” in their category. When I am a volunteer teacher to newbie internet users, it is necessary to teach them to NOT trust the results of their Google searches, especially Y!A because so many of the “best answers” are not really the best, but are marked “best” because of fraudulent voting.
I LOVE THIS SITE, ITS QUITE INTERESTING TALKING WITH PEEPS FROM ALL OVER. PLUS, I FEEL LIKE I,M HELPING PEOPLE WITH THEIR PROBLEMS BY READING AND ANSWERING THEIR QUESTIONS.MAKES ME FEEL LIKE DEAR ABBY.
Groovie stuff!
Happy Wholly Daze
& Kill a TREE 4 J.C.
I need some points of milk for my cereal does that answer the question 2 more points please
I answer questions mostly in mathematics.
I would like to see this group split into
2 groups: Basic and advanced mathematics.
So those of us interested in more advanced
topics could have our own forum.
Also, when are you going to have levels 8,9 and 10?
Points are meaningless to level 7′s, but cash would be good!
Well, it ought to make the “spammers” happy.
Just opened a ? and one of the answers was a link to a google search page. Nothing wrong with that, if the answer applies to the ?. But it was the answerers answer to every ? they answered. 22 ?’s, ranging from science to scuba diving.
The bonus points are a good idea. But, as far as answering more ?’s, probably not.
Happy Holidays everyone
People who have gone up to level 7 treshold and above do NOT care about points: they just enjoy the site, and so do I.
But I guess that for newbies, it is different.
Thank you for the extra points.
the thing i dont like is the 4 points taken off for asking a question.
@ken, that happened to me, i hate spammers. im going to be going around reporting them.
BOO! i made it to level 7 without these bonuses. so should everyone else. if they make this permanent one day, i’m done. that would be unfair.
double points! oh my god so intense
Ya hoo. Thanks!!! This will really help me to the next level. but next time (if there is a next time) can you double everything. I guess you guys consided that and secided it was a bad idea.
Points are pointless beyond a certain point.
In my case, that was Level 5 and unlimited answers.
Anything you can do to get Askers to choose Best Answer more often is what I’d be more impressed with.
I was wondering why i was getting 4 points for everytime i answered a question! this is cool! they should keep it this way for about a month! more points is awesome!
thanks
I’ve already reached Level 7 so I don’t really need the extra points anymore. My activity here now is mostly Voting, and sometimes I’ll answer the really serious unanswered questions from persons needing genuine help. Not much point doing every question in the list for 2 (or 4) points when people ask the same thing repeatedly every day. How about bonus points for people choosing Best Answer or voting on Unresolved Questions?
I’m at Level 7, so I don’t need the points. I concur with everything “Little Sister” said about this helping the point-gamers and not doing anything to address the issue of fraudulent voting.
It’s the holiday season. Soon many children will be out of school for a couple of weeks, bored and logging in to Y!A to ask stupid and/or offensive questions, give stupid and/or offensive answers, vote thumbs down just because they can and generally be obnoxious.
In short, on average, you’re going to be giving double the points for half the quality.
I’ll probably take the last two weeks of December off from answering questions until the kids are back in school. I take all summer off for the same reason.
lol i love it… what to “buy” tho???? and why the hell do we have levels???
Merry Christmas and Thank You for all that you do! This is So Awsome!
Thanx Y!A. Merry Christmas!
I saw this in a question today.
How about yahoo open a store so we can cash in some of those points. Maybe something like this:
2,500 points a Y/A T-shirt
5,500 points a Y/A sweat shirt
7,000 points a Y/A hooded pullover
10,000 points a Y/A jacket.
How about it Yahoo, anyway you can let us get some gear for our points?
Just a thought.
It sucks I’m out of answers ( my limit is I think 30 answers a day since I’m only on level 2) It was fun though!
Sadly we will get more quantity and less quality – just the nature of things.
great !
I can’t understand the mania about the worthless points. Most of the top (and other) performers openly cheat on voting just to get points.
Why don’t you promote dialogue amongst the answerers (Yahoo! Debate) – that would spice the thing up a bit?
thanks !
WOW !!!
i got 4 points just now for answering a question. i was surprised but now i know why. thankyou Yahoo Team!
Since I am above the 5,000 mark in the first place, it really has no bearings on me whatsoever in that I can now answer as many questions as I please in any given 24 hour period…But it will be an incentive for the youngsters to give as many quick answers as they can, and not necessarily the proper response of the best advice. Time will tell. Happy holidays, ALL !
Merry Christmas Y!A
And thank you for your hard work, y’all don’t get enough credit for maintaining the site, good job with it
I’ m not in it to win it,so I answer questions that are appealing and sincere. I truly wish to only help when I can.I understand I may not appeal to the masses after all isn’t that why Baskin-Robbins offers 31 flavors? This is a fine and entertaining service you offer, thanks for being there for all of us.
Nice of you to do.
I answer because I can give the correct answers.
Right now, I am breaking in a new laptop. So the answers are not coming as quickly as before. Yet, I will try.
Thanks for the extra points. But I do agree with jerry_hollombe, Kris, & seemynewname, among others.
Absolutely no iinterest to me. Give us something useful, like:
* Community Moderation that works reliably;
* extra moderation powers to reporters with proven clean track record, to help with spam-fighting (e.g. a nuclear option that takes out all the spammer’s posts at once)
* or a Y!A commitment to dealing with sections that have been made unusable for purpose by collective flouting of guidelines or concentrated trolling campaigns.
I love to know about people problem or something I never know…..
So everyday I open just to help somebody problem or also want to know my problem…
This is nice idea. =)
I’m on level 7 though, so the extra points will just look like I have even less of a life than I already do, but still, I like it x)
Omg this is GREAT!
It’s a good way to get participation in some of the lesser used categories. For future bonus periods, I’d like to see extra points given to askers that bother to select answers to their questions, so perhaps fewer questions would go into the voting period.
I’m new to Yahoo Answers, so should like the increased points. But it does seem unfair to those who have faithfully posted in the past. It kind of thumbs one’s nose at those individuals.
LMAO extra points? yahoo is a joke! what about cashing out these points you people think are so special for an amazon gift card?! walmart GC?? or even paypal cash??
Is there any change in Best answer points too. please reply
Yes, yes, yes!!! Way to go! I’ve always thought 2pts. was just a baby step in the YA scheme of things. It makes it feel more like a tedious journey up to the next level (7)…..but 4pts. will SO help me get there by my goal- NEW YEARS!!! Thanks, keep surprises coming & ho-ho-ho~
This is pretty cool, though it DOES have some drawbacks…
As much as I like the double points, I like to *ask* questions, too… And my first question during this period got “chatty” answers as answerers tried to “earn” more points.
I hope you guys are ready to answer reports and take back all the points those answers are worth, because I think I’ll be reporting a LOT of chatty, garbage answers in the next few days… And not just for my own questions. (HINT: Spammers beware! Make an effort to actually ANSWER the questions!)
I wish people wouldn’t abuse their gifts so much. This is really cool of the Yahoo! Answers team.
awesome!
Great Idea! Love it! Thanks!
It sounds like you guys know how to run a website! Merry christmas!
Are we such point whores that two points is going to make us wet ourselves? getting points for doing good deeds, lol thats rich. send us a coupon for mcdonalds or something, that would he note worthy of a decent reward system.
If you “let” me answer rather than hitting me with your IE8 and halting me then sure I’d answer a lot more.
It would have been nice to have received a little gift though like in past years.
thank need to make more
I appreciate it, as I do enjoy the site. I also imagine that if it results in more people spending more time here, it will be good for everyone, including Yahoo.
Thanks again.
PS Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all! Let’s hope for a good new year.
I like it. Also, it would be cool to have benchmarks.
Like, if I reach 1000 points I get x points. Or If I get 100 points this week I also get x points…
Keep it up!
I think it would have been better, not only with the 4 points per question, but 20 points per Best Answer.
And if you received Best Answer, 2 points for every thumbs up.
And when you ask a question, instead of it costing 5 points, it only costs 2 or 3.
YES! I really want to get to level 3. Yahoo! Answers people, thank you so much!!!
wat do i use points for
Great holiday consideration from you.
What size sweaters do you wear?
Thanks again
The double points MAY encourage some people to answer questions. I agree, however with the following OTHER comments listed:

There needs to be a LOT of work done to stop people from answering :
“I don’t know either”
“maybe”
“lkdfu84likfut4u0gdklt8″
“stupid question” (when it is a very serious question)
etc. ALL — just to get “points” and raise their “status”
People should get points fro REPORTING deliberate spam, garbage answers, and other abuse. It ruins the the entire purpose of “answers”.
robindustygraves
i was surprized. i thought that was very nice of you to do. thanks very much, amd Merry Christmas and Christmas Eve to you too. i only like Yahoo answers and Yahoo. i won’t be on Twitter or Facebook.
This is AWESOME!
Great idea
I think there should be more attention given to the point gaming that many people do. I have no idea how it could be controlled but there should be a way. Also there are some people who complain about other peoples answers just because they do not like the person, it has nothing to do with the answer. Yahoo pays no attention to the people who disagree with being removed from a answer and only to the person who complains. I have had answers removed and told yahoo I answered the question and explained it to them to no avail. I know of others which very good answers that this has happened to also.
I think this devalues the points we’ve already earned. I don’t feel thanked; I feel dissed.
This is an insult. Wow thanks for the imaginary points which we can’t do anything with in real life. What can we do with the points? Get to other levels. Then after we get to other levels, what can we do? Answer more questions. What does answering more questions do for us? Nothing, it wastes our time and rewards us with nothing but imaginary points. So who benefits from us answering more questions? Yahoo, since more answers means more pageviews, and more pageviews equals more money made from the ads on here. This “gift” is an insult. It’s like saying “well you’re already working for us for free, but we’re going to give you even more incentive to work for us, by giving you imaginary points that were only designed to encourage you to work for free”.
what for?
Really, what are the points for?
I like the opportunity to double points. I love answering questions.
i posted my comment yesterday, but till now it was not posted here… anything wrong with the content of my post? Just thinking….Hmmm..
well, definitely more thorough answer, if ur just in it for the points, definitely a waste of time.
Although I have answered more because of the double point bonus, I doubt this initiative will improve traffic to Y!A in the future unless it gets rid of all the psychotic trolls and idiots who have made many Y!A categories look like the playground of retards.
Hey guys! As I suspect others do, I go through phases of frequently answering questions on Yahoo! Answers, and then I go through phases of NOT answering questions. Right now, I answer them a bit less. It’s all depends on the amount of extra time on my hands… I would have preferred x2 points a month ago, or even two months ago! Nevertheless, this is very thoughtful of the Yahoo staff. Thank you guys and happy holidays!!
i thought u guys made a mistake. thanks a lot. hey think it should b 5 points 4 each question u answerd. since u take away 10 points away everytime someone gets their little feelings hurt which i think is not fair we r all grown people. anyway thank-u have a CHRISTmas hoilday.
awesome news….i will answer more and more
thanks
Its always a bonus to get extra points, It would be nice to exchange the point for some sort of voucher… ;P
I am with the others that say it is just creating more havock with the spammers and those who “play the game”.
Reporting what I can, but man is it tough out here!
Points?? People really do this for POINTS?
Um, people, the points aren’t anything. Nothing. Here, have 10,000 points! There. Now you’re level seven with me!
People should earn something meaningful. Maybe not be as vulnerable to reporting trolls, say, if they are higher level. Points for their own sake don’t mean a thing. I’d sell mine for five cents if I could.
The points don’t mean as much as helping people out. After reaching level 7 I’m keeping my eye on the national leaderboard. Wish you could update that more often than just once a week.
Thanks for the extra points though. It’s a good idea.
Yahoo is the great. its efforts is the best Iike it so much.
Why is Yahoo intentionally decreasing the value of a point? Those Answerers who have worked their butt off have EARNED there points. Giving them away for free seems like a real slap in the face to me.
This is for all the negative comments, because yahoo is giving double points for answers….. Don’t be so negative, this is just something yahoo is trying to do, so that more people participate! They should give something to those who are at the highest level, but life is not fair, and fair is for kids! but i am sure that the higher level people will find that maybe they will gain something from the double points, other than points, perhaps more people to talk to or get advice from? who knows? But i hardly think it is something to get upset about!
I think it’s a good idea to give double points it may have people to give better answers. I really don’t go by the points as far as my answers goes, I just try to give the best answers I can. I would want someone to answer my question the best way. I love helping people a lot that’s why I give the best I can, there are so many people who needs help in so many different ways.
Thank you so very much
I love helping people with there problems but i also like the points
These extra points must have cost Yahoo a fortune.
I really like this idea, but dislike you’re only telling people who use Twitter about how much time is remains.
IMHO, it isn’t fair to “require” people to join another website to be on equal footing with each other. I’m not on Twitter, as I’m already getting enough messages in my life. I don’t need another, yet, I’d like to be as active as I can on Yahoo! Answers.
I feel it is unfair to people like myself who want to be fully active and accepted here. Twitter shouldn’t be requirement for full access to Yahoo! Answers, information. All I’m asking is you offer a second method that doesn’t require an external sign-up in addition to Twitter. IMHO, that’s not too much to ask.
Back to the bonus stuff, yeah, I like it! While I thought to take a break during the month of December, I guess this encourages me to maybe move my Answers vacation to January.
Thank you for the bonus points!
What a nice surprise to see we get an added bonus of double the points for answering a question! It shows you DO care about us which I sure do appreciate. Thanks for the nice gift & surprise. I SO enjoy Yahoo Answers & as a shut in retiree it at least keeps my mind working. Many thanks for your appreciation…:)
Why do you have such a large stretch between levels? It almost seems unattainable and even discouraging
I thought I would get 2 points for voting. But no… what a rip off!
I have to try the answers.
i can finally try to reach level 2
Hi I am back again…
How are you doing mates?
Just to update you that I have reached 50,000 Points to day on December 09, 2010. I have been a Member of Y!A since: April 25, 2006 as
My Statistics:
Answered: 3008 Qs
Best Answers: 1621
Did I brag too much?…lol
Happy Holidays!!
~slsmhu @~DrighRoad
I have over 50,000 points on this site, I don’t need more points, I need to be able to redeem these points for something, if not, they are pointless.
I post here in an attempt to help people who have genuine problems/questions about which I have some expertise. Your point system doesn’t play into that except to the extent that being labeled as a “Top Contributor” may cause some here to take my responses more seriously. Frankly, the points are a distraction. And the votes of the poorly informed count just as much as those with a great depth of knowledge on a topic. That exhausts much of the quality from your site. Regards.
Merry Christmas!!!
um.. i was hoping more for some cool Y! swag… like some free give aways.. hats, T-shirts, bags, etc….
thanks for the points
DOUBLE POINTS IS AN AWESOME HOLIDAY REWARD! MERRY CHRISTMAS YAHOO ANSWERS!
Was going to bed but will stay on for a while now (who needs sleep anyway?)
I am new user in Yahoo Answer. I enjoy this service & earn point. thanks
I love this! I hope that Yahoo! Answers Team will have another one of this kind of promos in the future!
After a certain point the points seem kind of pointless.
I’m seeing lots more answers being posted… and if you wanted more answers and didn’t care about quality, then you’ve succeeded.
Unfortunately, most of these new answers seem to be obscene, stupid, or otherwise better never to have gotten. I’ve spent more time reporting obscene/inappropriate answers then I have actually spent providing good answers.
This is a Fail. Fail. Fail.
LOL, I rely more on best answers than 2 stupid points to advance me through the levels. 4 is great, but really, I’m on 659 points and aiming for level 3 (1000 points).
How the fuck will 2 extra points get me anywhere?
Here’s the plan:
FOR EVERY BEST ANSWER, GIVE 20 POINTS INSTEAD OF 10. Now there is a Christmas special.
Consider this.
These bonus points are a real encouragement. You have more satisfaction in moving up the levels than expecting some material gift. You have a genuine feeling of sharing.
I never have understood this “points” stuff. Never did, probably never will. I wouldn’t mind more “freedom of expression”. I think that the good news is that I can recover points, on questions asked, faster. The down-side, as listed by another user, is people making up chatty answers, just HOPING for points value, rather than content. By the way, if I dont use, or understand, Twitter, HOW can I know when this “promotion” ends?
How many points does it take to become Chief Know It All? lol
It’s a great idea to give double points on yahoo answers. It is creating more interest to answer a question. Thank you yahoo. We hope this chance of gaining double points will be fixed for permanently.
Yes! Maybe I’ll get to level 2 finally!
Thank you and I’ll take double points anytime .
Thanks and I’ll take doubles the points all the time
this points thing sucks #$%^^^%
Yes! I can reach level 2!
Now, you get 4 pts a Q on here….
answering questions proactively is a service to people
This sounds great to me.
Great idea. This will inspire more……..Good marketing strategy too………
It’s not as if the points do anything.
Right On!! Let’s Just Do It !!! I”ll take the double dose.
I would’ve answered MUCH MUCH more if you doubled the best answer reqard to 20… but thanks YAHOOOOOOOOO!
Thanks for that you guys!
i would love double points
I think it’s great. I just might be able to rack up lots of point regardless of the paper cuts from wrapping presents!
Happy Holidays
Points make zero sense and many create multiple accounts to artificially boost their answers being chosen as best answer. The whole system is a sham and a simple internet search usually nets you a better answer anyway. Yahoo! answers has zero credibility due to no oversight or cited sources. I would go so far that many answers are often dangerous due to community only enforced guidelines.
I forget until I see the note on the site, I so much enjoy answering, and since I don’t pay attention to my score, it won’t effect my participation probably, but thank you.
OMGsh! I can’t believe the season! I feel so blessed this time of season! My family and friends and now even one of my favorite websites is even giving to help partake in the season–doubled points baby!!! *squeals* they need to keep this up for a couple months…but I’m going to enjoy this while it lasts!!! Thank you dearly!!!
Wow! Tis the Season to be Jolly … Thanks!
I think it diminishes the rating system.
Now when I look at someone’s rating, I’ll wonder whether they bought it or earned it.
Kurt
how do I keep track of the answers I’ve given and the responces I may have gotten?
Nice to see the promo. But, I feel the offer will prompt only such persons who have an eye upon the score board. More unrelated answers will fill more space.
It’d have been better to appoint a panel of members to judge the quality of an Answer.
Regards and Best Wishes.
i belive in santa he is real if u dont think he is real then that is ur head
why don’t you give straight answers to questions being asked
Nice, unless it facilitates point gaming and thus damages YA.
I enjoy using yahoo answers. It is fun. I also sometimes have some questions that I can answer however I like to have additional information to help me out.
that is a good eady
the points are a good way of motivating people to answer question on Y!A
There is no point having lots of points when an account suspension causes everything to be lost without seconds. Don’t waste your time giving opinions because most people don’t even bother. Those who asked question already know the best answer. Even without your answer, they will still fare well. Your answer merely support their belief and it does not add any value except to make Y!A more popular to generate advertising revenue.
wat r points 4?
Thanks I like the question
just found this looks like fun i will see?
I think your strategy should be designed to elicit higher quality answers and I think what you’ve done will have the opposit effect.
I take pride in the quality of my answers. If I fall below having a thrid of my answers selected as best, I feel I need to do better.
I found myself answering more questions this evening, but I’m sure the answers were below my standards.
Allow me to suggest for a future experiement, 3 points for each answer, and 15 points for each “best” answer.
I also think you should factor in the number of answers in awarding “best answer” points. If mine is the only answer, I don’t feel i deserve 10 points. If mine is the best from among 20, I feel I deserve more than 10.
Finally, I am irritated that questions I worked hard to answer three months ago are still in “voting.” I think questioners should be required to either pick a best answer, or proactively state that none is best.
Thanks.
i’m happy about it
At first, I was happy about double points. That changed when I started noticing the quality of answers going way down. I understand the reasoning behind double points, but I’d say that the plan has backfired.
Thank You, though. Hey, it’s the thought that counts.
This is a wonderful idea…thanks…looking forward to offering more advice and advancing to the next level.
Merry Christmas Everyone and Have A Happy New Year!
Merry christmas!!!
:):)
The only thing this does is reward the folks who answer poorly and are going for quantity, not quality. You should have given people an incentive for being the best answer, but only when the asker chooses the best answer (voting doesn’t do well.)
I’d try to improve the quality of yahoo answers, not the hit count. But, then, you’re probably more focused on ad revenue anyway.
4-2 = 2. You get 4 points to answer a question but if you delete it it only cost 2. Get points for deleting answers now ?
WHAAAAAT!!! This the absolute COOLEST thing! I come back to Y!Answers after two whole weeks to find THIS!!! AWESOME!!! I gotta go answer some questions!!!
Instead of the extra points why don’t you clowns stop giving that lame ass response of “your answer does not conform to the question-answer format” when people don’t like your answer… that is clearly in the question-answer format. LOL
I have a limit to how many I can answer so I do not see how I can answer more than usual.
I believe this is an excellent idea. I’m one of the few people who don’t cheat.
Thanks
Your Awsome maybe you could be one of my on yahoo
I just answered the question they posted on Twitter! GIMME MY TWO HUNDRED POINTS YAHOO, YOU KNOW I’M RIGHT!
I was surprised myself why I earned 4 points, i thought you guys upped it up, bu that’s amazing. You guys are doing a wonderful job out there.
2x the pts. during “this season of giving” is awesome!! 2 bad as noted above (as a matter of fact, in the very 1st comment) they have no monetary value, especially in this strained economy and “doubly” especially while we’re all trying to buy presents for others!
Oh im sooooooooooooooo happy with ur Double Points Scheme!!!!!!
Thanks Yahoo Team.Luv U All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bless u with lots of SUCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR THIS NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you
This is bogus and somewhat discriminatory – you can only find out how much time is left IF you check in on twitter? Screw that – I don’t bother with twitter, facebook, & other hazardous personal info stealing sites. I know it’s not the sites themselves, but its the a$$holes out there who make it that much more difficult to come up with passwords that you practically have to be a rocket scientist to sign up and be sure your informaiton is safe.
But that’s just me……..
Thanx alot.
whats even the point of having points?? what do u get anything???
well i always find a good answer. to every question.
I have not been getting the double points except for the first answer of the day. Also, when I visit the site, many times, I don’t get the 1 point for visiting.
I have answered three questions today and instead of 12, I have only 8 points! The same thing yesterday.. Get your software people to fix all the issues..
Thanks.
Adding more levels would be nice.
I went from level six to level seven in one year and three days.
Something else to shoot for.
Oh im sooooooooooooooo happy with ur Double Points Scheme!!!!!!
Thanks Yahoo Team.Luv U All!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bless u with lots of SUCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR THIS NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is great !
I thought it was like 10points or something, you should double all paints snd reduce the points being taken away !
Now that would be a real christmas present (:
Xoxo Mrs Schulz .
I need some More credits
I run 45% Best Answers and would like to see 20 points for each BA. This is a busy time of year and I don’t have as much time to answer questions, but I want to keep my Top Contributor status until I can fully devote attention to Yahoo7! in January.
Also, give two points for picking BA for old questions.
Happy holiday. Merry Christmas Happy Xmas (War Is Over) and Happy New year 2011 too! your everyone! Thank you!,
this is very good site
I think it is a great idea. Everybody wants double points.
Thank you for the gift; it’s nice of you! Thanks, Yahoo!;)
Who cares about points. LAME.
what are the points good for anyway if someone can tell me i always have an opinion
yeeeeeeeeeeeaa
it’s so great about this
nice
“It’s delightful, it’s delicious, it’s de-lovely…”
thanx Yahoo!answer.
its awesome.
This is the only place I know of that gives points
just for giving points…no reward or prize.
Thanks for the bonus in December. I really enjoy this.
This is a Great , I like is it.
It reads good.
For the poll, I’m surprised “Answer less (we hope not!)” is at 2%, instead of 0%.
Also, I like the idea for a store, mentioned in the comment posted on December 6th, 2010 at 4:36 pm by Kris.
Awesome.
i really need to double my points !!!!!!!!!!! but how?
sweet, thx
Definetly a good idea… but can you guys make some rewards with these points? atleast a yahoo t shirt or wristband or something? yahoo is the best…. googles too plain and boring… you guys always got good news.. unless its bad news… oh and yahoo answers =]
okay im really bord tired of filling out employment applications something new i guess
I like this site because I can get answers on my own here.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE & ALL & A HAPPY NEW YEAR ! ! !
lol
If people are in this for just points then basically that’s rather a sad thing. I always see Yahoo Answers as a community where others can try to help people. Does nothing come for free anymore ?
Great, give us rewards so that the guy who’s run out of Mountain Dew bottle caps can bring his ‘dunno’ attitude to my serious questions for a free sweatshirt…
I also agree with Pam about 20pts for BA.
i never really paid attention to this website till just recently =) im loving it because its entertaining ! keep up the nice work yahoo =D this website is freaking sweet
Very Nice….Yahoo! answer…Merry christmas!!
hi i like yahoo ansewers.com
this is a very ineristing website but i like it lol
don’t know anything about this level and points area but just installed vista business and want to take full advantage of all programs available!
Good idea, but give some rewards to it! It would be more fun and ppl will answer more to!
this is good news
Sounds great
I like helping people out so I will answer more questions for sure! It feels like going into a “zone” looking for questions to answer and it gets addictive!!
it’s amazing.. haha.. love it. <3
omg that is sooo cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t really like this earning point thing to answer a question to be honest.
I love “Yahoo Answers!”-I’m waiting for more cadegories than “rock” in the music section, & a higher level than 7!-I’ve got several points & more coming!-take it easy, I gotta go to work…
I’m still only getting 2 points per answer.
i am still earning two points per answer.
I am so happy that you guys give us 4 points rather than 2 points. I think it’s a great Christmas gift to all of the people on Y! Answers. Thank you very much!
you are wonderful.
i am interested in gaining more points. thank u
I like it.
It’s a privilege to be able to help someone to have peace of mind during a crisis, whether it be physical, mental or emotional but it’s worth the effort of assisting anyone out there.
I am level 1, but I shall answer more questions than usual!
WOW!!! This is an excellent feature
I really love it. I’m about to answer as many questions, until this expires… Thanks YAHOO!!!
this is way cool ,i’m loving this
That’s great. I was in need of making points faster and faster. this offer have made me feel good.
Thanks so much. Every gift is appreciated. Merry Christmas!
nice job YA.liked it
Thank you Yahoo! I will make the most of this!
thanks yahoo <33
I earned two levels through all this, and I am not even on yahoo my entire life
Thank you
Thank you for the gift.
I was surprised as I hadn’t be on in a while.
Merry Christmas to all!
I would totally love double points.
that would be pretty cool!!!!!
It will end on the first day of 2011.. its only open in december for everyone that wants to know. finish finishes end ends on the lat day of december
I am going to answer alot of questions now well i always do
This is awesome
i like this blog
this site is best for students
Thank you very much Y/A.
Very kind of you.
When exactly did this end, because I was a frequent member of this website but I had been busy with school, but now that my break is coming to a close, I logged back in. Was this a promotion only for December or through 2010 because I don’t see the double points.
Oh well, I’m just wondering but I don’t pay that much attention, only if I were really close to the next level but I prefer answering questions for the sake of answering.
Great idea Yahoo =)
I’m new here but so far i love this site
this is so awesome!! ^_^
Nice idea.
It’s done wonders for putting me closer to my goal of Rank 7!
This is a good option. Because reward and recognitions are the basic sources of success.
Come back doubles!
