  4. This is a great quiz and helps answer some basic questions!

I would also like to see it backed up by an auto-notification email when we report something that was considered valid. I really want to be a good reporter, but some of the forms of trolling and abuse that happen in controversial topics wander the grey area around this line.

If I knew which of my reports didn’t make the cut, I’d become a better reporter. I’d also be more confident about making good reports. As it is, I’m scared to click on anything for fear of becoming a less-listened-to reporter.

  5. Took the quiz and passed it. It says that I “really know my stuff”. However, your response to some of the things I reported makes me wonder if I really do. I reported someone who “answered” a question with “It seems like you could benefit from psychiatric help”. He did not attempt to answer the question just gave an unqualified assessment. Could it be that the person who answered it is a level 6 user which basically means that he or she by virtue of status is allowed to basically do what he or she wants? The quiz is pointless because the answers team in concert with Customer (We Don’t) Care is going to allow the Community to run the asylum anyway.

  7. Pooh!! I got two wrong. Not bad but I knew the right answers and second guessed myself figuring I couldn’t be right even though everything in my gut and head said I was.

Great quiz but you need to add more samples and make the test longer. There are so many other variables and Guidelines to cover.

The point incentive is a good idea, especially for newcomer who need the points.

    TU on this one.

I also agree with Mana Gement that getting notification when we send an incorrect report would help ensure we don’t make the mistake again and make us better reporters. After all, VNs let us know when we make a mistake posting Q/A, so why not let us know when we make a mistake reporting? All such notifications can only make us better users and the site a better place to enjoy for all users.

  8. A quiz??? Oh Yeah. Like that’s really going to end the problems on this site. This quiz isn’t going to stop the problems on this site any more than the tests the DMV gives will prevent accidents and violations of laws out on the highways. The quiz is simple. I scored perfectly without ever reading the Community Guidelines. The problems will not be fixed until you take the report button from the Community and hire moderators who are not involved in the competition for points and are thus capable of making objective rulings.

  9. I got all 10 questions right. Perhaps once there’s an Appeals Process, I’ll be believed when I state why my answer wasn’t a violation.

  10. Agreed that many new people who join answers do not know where to start.
