This year, Yahoo! Answers has seen its fair share of questions and answers—you’ve covered everything under the sun—from questions about current events such as “balloon boy” to Michael Jackson’s death to everyday questions about culture to tackling tough questions about the economy and unemployment.
We’ve gone through some of the best (and quirkiest) content on Answers to create this year’s highlight book. (Review last year’s here) This year’s e-book contains 12 questions from Answers users, just like you, that showcase some of the unique questions and answers you’ll find on Yahoo! Answers- as well as a few outstanding community members you might come across while perusing the site.

Aw, I was hoping my question would be in it, after all, it did have 110 stars, which is 100 more than 10, and I saw a question with only 10 stars, so how is that on it, but not mine? Oh well. Guess I’ll try for next year then. =(
hello,i never knew of such a book,but then im new here on y/a,i for one just might give the book a peek,even if im not listed it will make for good reading as well as having a good lol. im game,count me in.
You’ve stated twice in bold letters “download” the book,
but it really is just a PDF file. I would choose a different
word, because “download” might discourage some Y!A
users from clicking on the link.
Your small book is very entertaining indeed, like 2008′s.
I’m curious though why the “burgundy-color link” shows
– (114) when I first came to this blog
– (130) after I finished reading 2008
– (155) as I am adding my comment.
Is this a “running” total count of how many people have
thus far clicked on it?

Just like one of my earlier “starter” novels.
Nowadays, I’m pushing 5MB+.
Maybe 2010 will have that kind of a figure?

Nice!! I loved to see a few familiar names in the testimonials you included in the first pages. I haven’t checked my 2008 file in while but I think this one shows more aspects of YA, which I like
I have a problem during download my attachement (NOT ACTIVE) / (NOT RESPONSE)
The green & white smiley, exclamation and question marks could be more colorful or sophisticated. It makes YA image look too grade-schoolish.
Although I really like the avators, the personalized photos are so much nicer. It’s good to include these in the next “book” which should be more condensed, by the way. Using the cartoon figure for YA (polar bear) is also a terrible color green & white. Not visually stimulating & we can do so much better!

Y is STILL a vowel, and that answer shouldn’t have been on the list. Well at least in the American English Language the letter Y acts as a vowel when no other vowels are contained.
The 2009 Answers Highlights Book is really good.
Congratulations to Answers team & community for making it. Hope 2010 will become a better year for Yahoo! Answers.

Why do answers who just copied/pasted wikipedia get so many thumbs up?
I can’t believe that after all that hard work and top answers I didn’t get an inclusion. I’m going all out for it in 2010.

You guys made a huge blunder! You posted a question about words without vowels and yet just about every word in the list had a vowel! Doesn’t anyone know grammar any more? I really would have thought anyone putting this “book” together would know that the vowels are A, E, I, O, U and SOMETIMES Y. Which means if the Y sounds like an I or and E it is counted as a vowel. Really Yahoo? You didn’t know that?

hohoho ive never knew bout this thing.what?Y!A started in 2007?well i started using it that year.but i think ive read somewhere that is way longer and at that time it wasnt that famous,only at 2007 it rose to fame.hehe actually i got 2 accounts suspended n this is my 3rd,but ive been using it since june2008 so i promise to you Yamster,that i’ll be on the nice list this yea..ok!
2009 is just another year with good things and bad things happening.

The answer to the “egg in the bottle” question is totally wrong. You should really double check your scientific facts before including stuff like this in the “highlights” of 2009.
Wow – that philosophy answer was deep. I especially liked the reference to “Schoeder’s cat”. He deserves some recognition. He made such rare appearances in the Peanuts comic strip because he was always scared away by Schoeder’s incessant piano playing and Lucy always hanging around.
That was the flash back for year 2009. In the of this year i opened yahoo account with more passion and desire to learn something new, but what!! Yahoo disappointed me and unfortunately they suspend my account.
Ihave been lost all the points, best answers, thumbs up and special affection with yahoo answers …
