No one says you have to eat it. How about just a taste? I'd try it, but it doesn't mean I want the recipe or would ever make it myself.

I hardly think the author or this article is "making a huge fuss" or going overboard. They've simply stated that they have an opinion: deep fried butter is gross.

They haven't started a petition, they haven't spammed anyone (as far as I know), they haven't posted huge signs or anything else and they certainly didn't do this for the attention. They did it because they wanted to, plain and simple. If they did it for the attention we would be seeing them all over the place and not just on this blog.

Also, why would you eat a stick of flavored butter? I have no idea but I don't think I'd pay to try it (and try it is all I'd do). There have been far worse, that's for sure...

By now, we should all know that fried foods are not good for us, especially our sweet little hearts. Why do we even fry our foods? There are so many other alternatives. Fried foods don't taste any better than broiled or baked foods.

For instance, take a piece of fish. Put it in a pan. Put light seasonings over it and one teaspoonful of olive oil on top and bake it for ten minutes. Take the same piece of fish and fry it. I guarantee that the baked piece of fish will taste better.

Another good way to cook your food is to broil it if you don't own an oven. Marinate the same piece of fish. Add one garlic cloves, crushed; one teaspoonful of lemon juice; two teaspoon dijon mustard; one red pepper, slice; one tomato chopped; one cup chopped onion; one small zucchini chopped; three spoonful of water, one teaspoon of olive oil. Cook over medium heat 8-10 minutes. Pour over your rice and beans. "Yummylicious,"

Right on! I went to the fair this summer to find all of these deep fried foods on a stick: twinkies, pickles, cheesecake, etc.

Although I was curious, I couldn't bring myself to buy a heart attack on a stick.

I agree, I don't go out of my way to eat healthy when I go to fairs or carnivals (which is like never, but still.) But deep-fried butter? Ew. I remember thinking how bad deep-fried oreos sounded, but deep-fried butter...

I have never really eaten anything deep-fried I am afraid to admit but howether I think that by the end of this year, everything will be deep fried, literally. You won't be able to walk into a super-market without bumping into something thats 'starchy' and full of 'fatty' goodness. It's just a perfect example of how the economy is taking a great downfall, so much in fact that there resulting to making 'deep fried butter' in a desperate, sad attempt to earn a few more bucks. Everyone talks about eating healthy, but they keep bringing this junk out. Why is this? That is the question that noone can answer, it's just the way things are in the world that we live in and theres nothing we can do about it.

Howether, there may be nothing we can do about it but I would stay clear of these 'deep fried butter' thingy's for all hells sake, not just because its disgusting but eating just one would probably send you off on a stretcher to your nearest hospital...

Just had deep fried butter at the fair. I was interviewed afterwards and I said it tasted kind of like fried cheese i.e. mozzarella sticks. I don't think this will ruin my six pack, however most people posting think I will turn morbidly obese overnight. Its the people who eat fastfood 7 days a week that have a problem.

The real problem are the subsidies given to our farmer's making food cheaper than it should be. The dollar menu wouldn't exist if we were paying efficient market prices for our food. The enemy here is the ag industry that bought up smalls farms yet lobbies to keep the farm subsidies that were designed to help family farmers out in years of varying economic turmoils to keep them from going bankrupt in a bad year. Not to continue to line their pockets and give more money to executives.
