Okay I admit when I first read twilight I liked it a lot. However after a few days I got over it totally…

People are crazy to say that its actually better than harry potter…I mean harry potter characters actually had some depth in them. I felt for each of the characters who had to die in the end. Although nobody is killed at the end of twilight, it wouldn’t have bothered me much even if they were(except jacob maybe).

Harry is cute, awkward and absolutely lovable whereas Edward is…um sparkly..

Harry Potter is not only about wizards and magic, it has a great message in it. It is about love, friendship and loyalty. Twilight on the other hand is quite misleading…Bella is so obsessed by her boyfriend that she is ready to give up her soul…she is a really sad person with absolutely no attachment to her friends and family…

And lastly to the most popular argument put forward by twilight fans that there are loads of hot guys in twilight I would like to say Draco Malfoy beats them all!!!! That’s my personal opinon of course…:P

So there are really people out there who prefer one book series over the other because the characters are more attractive???

it has a park at universal studios in Orlando now and it will be there forever, ppl will be able to love its magic forever, it added to the wizard history, know that i was here while harry potter was released makes me proud, i will read it for my sons, and my grandsons

now that twilight series…what is it about again? vampires? wait, vampires dont sparkle.

Harry Potter is better.

I have never read Twilight, but I have watched both of the movies out so far, and I don’t like the movies, so I’m not even going to bother with the books.

All Twilight is I gather is a romance story. It is poorly put together from what I saw in the movies.

First off, what gave Stephenie Meyers the idea that vampires should “sparkle” in the sunlight? They are supposed to like, burn in the sunlight..
Also, I might be mistaken, but don’t vampires have fangs? And you know, ehemm*cough*bite people just because?

Also, there are no werewolves in Twilight.
From what I gather from the oh so superior Harry Potter and this is going to sound stupid, but American Chillers werewolves of Wisconsin, where they show werewolves on the cover.
Werewolves are thought to stand on two legs.
Which is what makes them different from regular wolves.
And last time I checked, werewolves can’t just transform, whenever. They have to wait until a full moon.

Like in Harry Potter, Jacob Black would be an Animagi. And, in case you don’t know what that is, in Harry Potter it’s someone who can transfer into an animal at will. Sirius Black was one, Peter Pettigrew, Professor McGonnagal….so on a so forth.

No Professor Lupin, he was a werewolf. The only reason he didn’t turn into a werewolf every full moon in the 4th one, is because Professor Snape made him a special potion to prevent that.

Sure, Harry Potter has some romance(Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione) but it’s mainly focused on action.

In the 7th book, which I finished just recently, it actually had my heart pounding in parts.

first of all: Twilight is realistic and people can relate to it? I’m sorry, but I’m not sure that I can relate to falling in love with a stalker vampire who sparkles and drinks animal blood, also fall in love with a shape shifter, choose the abusive stalker vampire over the jerk yet non-abusive shape-shifter, attempt to kill myself when my abusive vampire boyfriend left me, try to go stop my abusive ex from killing himself when he thinks that i killed myself, save him, get married to him, get knocked up by that very same abusive now-husband who is a VAMPIRE and has NO bodily fluid (which means, by the way, that he CAN’T POSSIBLY HAVE SEMENAL FLUID, either (semen, for those idiots out there)), have my shape-shifter (and ex-love) fall in creepy pedophile love with my 4-day old and rapidly aging creepy daughter, keep myself from attacking him when he tells me that he’s in love with her UNTIL I find out that he nicknamed her Nessie and THEN try to kill him, and then save my entire creepy pedophile family with my not-so-awesome brain powers of protection.
There. The enire series, summarized for you.
I’m not sure about anyone else, but I cannot relate to ANY of that.
As for Harry Potter: though I cannot relate to being a wizard with great powers and saving the wizarding community, Harry Potter is about the best kind of love – that of family, friends, and some relationships. BUT: the difference between the relationships in Twilight and the ones in Harry Potter? You don’t have to ‘make out,’ have sex, or tell a person you love them for you – and the person being loved – to know that they are, indeed, loved. It’s not all about the physical ways to show you care for a person in Harry Potter – people can show their love in Harry Potter by the little actions that they do every day, not only by words or physical contact. You can tell that Harry and Dumbledore love each other – not in a creepy way – but you can tell that they are very close. The way Harry talks about Dumbledore is one of the many ways you can tell; for example, when Harry smart-mouths the new Prime Minister, Scrimgeour, when he is accused of being ‘Dumbledore’s man,’ and Harry tells Scrimgeour that yes, he is Dumbledore’s man. You can tell that he loves Ron and Hermione as well; and there is only one time in the entire series that he says outright that he loves them.
Twilight, however many people may like it, is merely a fad. It will go out of fashion in a couple of years. Harry Potter, however is a lifestyle – it, along with J.K. Rowling, will be remembered along with Romeo and Juliet and Shakespeare, Jane Austen, Tolkein – and many more.
