What gives you the chills?
I’ll admit it: If a book, TV show, or movie has even the slightest promise of the paranormal, I’m hooked. I don’t need the Halloween season to enjoy otherworldly creatures. I’ve read my way through the “Twlight” series (and saw the movie on opening night), watched my way through the TV show “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (and “Angel,” the spinoff), and even sat through the first act of “Lestat: The Musical.” (I wish I were joking about that.) More recently, I’ve been hooked on the Sookie Stackhouse book series (by Charlaine Harris) and the TV show based on it, “True Blood.” (Was anybody else as crazy-excited as I was about the Season 2 series premiere last Sunday?) The mythos may vary among all these authors and producers, but one view remains constant: Vampires are totally awesome.
I don’t discriminate against ghosts, zombies, lycanthropes, aliens, or demons; I grew up on “Ghostbusters” (both the movies and the cartoon series), and I’m currently working my way through the TV series “Supernatural.” I’ve expanded my horizons a bit and have dabbled in zombie films, watching the chilling remake of “Dawn of the Dead” along with its spoof counterpart, “Shaun of the Dead.” (Don’t even get me started on the book “World War Z.”) Zombies, are cool, but when it comes to the undead, vampires are my favorite.
There’s so much more to appreciate than the campy stuff that relies on devices (like “Clark Kenting“) to move the plot forward. And for hard-core paranormal fans, there are events like the Haunted America “Lucky 13″ Conference this weekend to peel us away from our books or TV sets and engage us with other enthusiasts.
What is your paranormal passion?

Im currently in the middle of Twilight (held out as long as I could before curiousity got the best of me) and I have to admit that Vampires are growing on me. Ive never been much of a fan of the undead before. Zombie movies are really the opposite of what I want to watch. I have to say that witches and wizardry have always caught my attention when it comes to the paranormal. Something about the idea of magic has always really appealed to me.
The leader of Iran, the leader, of North Korea, and the leader of the U.S.A. They give me the chills…
I finished the Twilight series about this time last year, and just finished reading it through the second time, and I am in the middle of Midnight Sun (which I am ashamed to say, but I was too curious to resist). I was very reluctant to read Twilight, as I was to read Harry Potter, only because they were “fads.” But I am so glad I read them, especially Twilight! The movie was rather weak, though New Moon looks more promising. But the book series were some of the most well-written, interesting, pleasing books I have ever read! I completely agree, vampires are the best undead characters!
NCIS freaked me out and I had to watch it with everything locked and the lights on with a baseball bat under my bed and got nightmares for like three weeks! I don’t get paranoied anymore but it does sort of freak you out for a tv show instead of a movie to watch!
Christians, they get me every time…
Large angry women kind of give me chills.
Stephenie Meyer gives me chills.
I am a huge fan of the Twilight Saga. I’m on the last book, Breaking Dawn and when i first heard of vampires i thought of the ones that are bats and have fangs and capes like that but then i really got into the type of vampires that Stephenie Meyer created and i enjoy reading the Twilight books theyr’e so great and interesting! (:
I absolutely CANNOT watch CSI! Any CSI at all. I just think it’s disgusting! The make up is just freaky, I watched it once, and got nightmares for a week!
The movie Jesus Camp… good god. If I’m home alone and I hear footsteps. If I catch a cold, (like right now… ughhh) then I obviously have chills, and if I hear beautiful music, especially Beatles, I have a happy chill.
I’m much the same as you.
Vampires and werewolves are my two favorite mythological creatures of all time and I’ll read any book that involves either one of them. I’m actually trying to write my own book about the two creatures. It’s not doing so good right now, but I hope I’ll get inspired and finish it.
You’re totally right: vampires are the best.
I’m reading Eclipse right now.(3rd book to Twilight) It
keeps me reading until 2 a.m…it’s so suspenseful. The
romance keeps you hooked. You can NOT put it down
once you’ve picked it up.I LOVE TWILIGHT.The books
are so intresting…it gives me chillbumbs and I will
start crying at certain parts. εїз
I like to read Stephen King books and listen to intense Christion music…Let the spirits battle in my living room. For my attentian
well wat gives me the creeps is PALINS,TRAINS, BOATS, and even sumtimes CARS…. i know that is lame but i ahve seen way 2 many movies about terrist atacks, and baots sinking just every thing wit cars, planes, boats, and cars sum 1 dies or gets hurt and i dont want to go on any because i feal lyk im risking my life
… but cars really no problem just hate having to drive in rain, and near asians( no offence but were i live there is a car crash every day)
DID YOU KNOW THAT BELLA AND EDWARD GOT MARRIED? I DID TO AND MY SISTER DOES LOOK LIKE BELLA SWAN ,BUT SOMETIMES SHE DONT.
Thinking of the year 2012 sends chills down my spine. Even though there’s no proof behind it all happening, I’m just freaked out knowing that some people are trying to predict doomsday. I already know that people predicted 2000 and 2006 and it never happened but I’m still shivering in my boots.
The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson
(although I tip my hat to Billy)
Gotta agree with Billy (four comments above mine) …
I never liked horror films, but something intelligent, with a supernatural hint, has always piqued my interest. I liked Lilith by George MacDonald, and the Spirit Flyer Series by John Bibee (I think), and Piercing the Darkness (the trilogy) by Frank Peretti. (The Spirit Flyer series is poorly titled, for both the series and each of the books, and the description of the series on Wikipedia is completely lacking. These books are perfectly fit for adult readers. Take it from someone who enjoys all the classics, and who is reading the Plato’s Republic for fun.) I know that the spiritual realm is all too real, and I have no intention of messing with the spiritual wickedness in ‘high places’, which is so prevalent today.
I used to get freaked out by the idea of ’spirits’ (not ghosts; that just seems like an overdone story name), but the freaks I have to love most are werewolves!
On the subject of Twilight… Ew, I gag mentioning the name. I truly hate it. Not well written at ALL, and leagues away from Harry Potter as far as fantasy goes. (Yes, I read the Twilight books. I was laughing to whole time, it was so pathetic!)
Nothing compares to Anne Rice’s vampires. I refuse to watch any other vampire movies or shows. I have read through her vampire books and the Witching hour. I have a very short attention span, and have a hard time reading books, but I cannot put her books down. Interview with the vampire was OK, but not as good as the book. Queen of the Damned was terrible, deviated from the book and didn’t sit right.
For chills, “White Noise” was good, but as soon as you watch the commentaries, you get chills and you kind of freeze up a bit.
For some reason every time i think, speak, talk, or see my boyfriend i get major chill’s! <3
Before the movie “Twilight” came out, my sister made me read it. Needless to say, I did read it, and I liked it. But now, seven months afterwards, I hate it. It was a very pointless over-used plot. And besides, sparkling vampires…you’re kiding me right?
You can find that rant somewhere on here…I don’t think I should repeat it.
Everytime I tell somebody “Oh! I love vampires!” They somehow rearrange my words in their mind, to come up with “Oh! I love Twilight!” So they say “I thought you hated it.”
After explaining, over and over again that I had said “Vampires” They finally get the picture.
Since vampires are now over-used, my story [which I have been writing] is being called a Twilight “Wanna-be” And now I hate Twilight, for many, countless reasons.
Sorry for the rant,
-X-Ellen-X-
I am currently reading a series by Kelley Arnstrong, which is a series about the Supernatural, the first too books are about a werewolf, and there are ones about ghosts, and other Supernatural being. I love these novels. I’ve also read Twilight.
It is the same with me, if anything has a hint of the Supernatural, I am interested.
I have watched the whole series of Buffy the Vamire Slayer, and I am hooked on the show Supernatural. I even went to a convention in May to meet the actors, Jensen Ackles (Dean) and Jared Padaleki (Sam) were there, along with nine others. It was great.
I love films like “Dark Water”, “The Ring” and others like that, I am a horror movie person, I love them.
I have to disagree though, while Vampires are cool, I think werewolves rule as the best Supernatural creatures.
I love twilight the book the movie everything. It was hooked because of the vampores and werewolfs i love that kind of stuff in my books
I love Twilight!!!!!!!
I’m crazy about classic horror in general, and I run a halloween hayride for my Church every year, but anything werewolf especially draws me in. I love the “Silver Wolf” book series, the movies “Cursed”, “American Werewolf in (anywhere)” and, of course, “Wolf”.
The poor job that you guys do.
Nothing
The poor quality and the hype of Twilight scares me.
Try Dementium, an awesome DS game. It’s bloody scary
You conflict aliens with the paranormal? Aliens are anything but paranormal. They have a very sound scientific basis even if is speculative. The conditions and possibility of aliens is not only probable but will eventually be a fact. They should never be confused with monsters.
You should NEVER confuse FANTASY and SCIENCE FICTION. They are separate and distinct genrés. In fantasy, anything the imagination can conjure is applicable if the reader/viewer enters into a suspension of belief. Science fiction requires at least a scientific basis that may be pushed to the extreme but not beyond contravening scientific information. .
Cryptozoology and zombies. Cryptozoology is the study of things like bigfoot, the loch ness monster, and other cryptids. I also love zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead.
Religious fanatics, the current socioeconomic climate, biological warfare, etc. Do I need to elaborate? These are far scarier than Dracula or Morgan Le Fay. That’s why I like reading scary fictional books, because they touch on human fears even though the subject matter is fantastical.
Of course i love The Twilight and Harry Potter series. It’s like a must read. I have to admit ‘Twilight’, the movie didn’t live up to my complete expectations but i do believe they have chosen an excellent cast for the movie ‘New Moon’ and personally i can’t wait to see dakota fanning act up as Jane of the Volturi! I think shes the type of person who will do an excellent job! As for zombies, monsters, any of that crap, im not too interested. HOWEVER, aliens scare the shit out of me. After seeing for the first time (unwillingly) the movie ‘Signs’ i’ve never been more afraid of random noises in my house at night. I slept with a jug of water beside my bed for at least 6 weeks after seeing that movie. So yeah, i guess what creeps me out the most is aliens.
And i’d suggest you watch the ‘Kyle XY’ tv series! L-O-V-E it!!!!!!!
Has to be ghosts. I don’t care if its a vampire, a frankenstein, an undead, whatever. As long as it’s solid and I can fight it. I’d rather die fighting than running away from something you can’t touch or hurt.
The idea of making love to an overweight woman. 125lbs.+ now that gives me the chills.
Oh, I was ecstatic about season 2 of True Blood.
i used to work in a mortuary and sawing the skulls of the dead for autopsy really makes me chill. also cutting or opening up of the body of the dead.
Lol, Charles
Well, what gives me the chills are reading Urban Ghost Legends…like Bloody Mary. But otherwise, I find it hard to find something truely scary—I watched the movie The Strangers—which quite a few did not find scary, but late at night when I was tired–I was more high strung than usual and the movie freaked me out! I find movies about real people like Jack the Ripper or Zodiac give me the chills because the events actually happened. But my most dreaded paranormal creature, therefore my favorite, good ol’ fashioned brain-craving zombies! Or any other creature that is human-like
Scratching my nails against carpet. Just thinking about it gives me the chills.
Realistic serial killers really freak me out.
Like Michael Myers, or Jigsaw.
I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if Michael’s mask, or Jigsaw’s puppet was in my room.
OMG!!!, I was totally waiting for true blood season 2.
and I love vampires, anyone heard of the vampire diaries, I only read Twilight series and Harry Potter Series and The Vampire Diaries Series because I heard they were gonna be on TV and in the movies.
Music. Anything which is full of raw emotion.
The first time I heard “When You Were Young” by the Killers was at a time when I was surrounded by despair, and the song cut through me like an icy knife.
“We’re burning down the highway skyline, on the back of a hurricane, that started turning when you, were yoooouuuuunnnnggggggg”
It’s the worst feeling ever. Listen to that line of the song in any situation where you’ve just run flat out of options. It’s incredible.
Asian horror is what really creeps me out. Western horror doesn’t scare me, except for the occasional jump; it’s images from Asian horror that haunt my mind when I’m in a dark room.
Charmed. I watched it when I was a kid with my Mom and now I continue to watch re-runs every morning and afternoon on TNT.
I get chills when I see someone win something.
Lottery, or Lets Make a Deal.
Almost any sudden suprise happiness makes me chill
Love “Supernatural.”
For some reason, ghosts really interest me. Pretty much anything with ghosts and stuff and/or fantasy.
Movies are good but books are so much more vivid for me. My imagination goes wild with scary passages in books.
My favorite scary book is “The Red Dragon” by Thomas Harris. Don’t read it alone in the dark.
“Jaws” by Peter Benchly runs a close second
IM TOTALLY WITH YOU! NUMBER 1 SUPERNATURAL FAN HERE. U SHOULD TRY GHOST HUNTING….U ACTUALLY GET OUT THERE IN THE PARANORMAL INSTEAD OF JUST WATCHING IT. IM A PARANORMAL FREAK!!!!
im the same but i cant get in to twilight and i dont know why. do you know why?
The government reading everyone’s emails and snooping on everyone’s phone calls; that creeps me out every time.
Bean burritos give me the chills.
the haunting of hill house
Drunk people out of control
The book the amityville horror
Pitt bull about to jump the fence
Finding myself alone in a seedy neighborhood on a dark street
when i see a super hot or cute guy i get the chills
The CBS show, Harper’s Island
What gives me the chills is the fanatical devotion a bunch of poorly written books about “sparkling vampires” has.
Liberals.
I live up on a (rich) neighborhood where there is this trail that winds down to the lower income houses. I always get scared every night that someone will come take me away from there.
Leaving poppy is an amazing book

also the house of night series, as it is veri like twilight
one final recommendation is no time for goodbye.
Uber Freaky
I am prob.the biggest horro fan on the planet i have grew up whatching vampire’s,werewolves.zombies and much more i have more then 300 horro movies my husband calls me a freak because im so upsest with blood, guts, and anything spooky i love getting my kicks off from scary movie’s so much that i have just wrote my first horro book and about to get it published so i gess the question is what scares me GHOST i have had a few exsp. with them after my mother died in a car crash in 2005 I began to see things and feel things i never did before i think it is my mother but who knows my mother had also lived in a haunted house when before i was born that she was completly terriofied of so after she had told me the story of the old house i had to go see it for myself so i did and it gave me the creeps .so meny years later i wrote a book about it so if you are a freak like me and loved to be scared the i know this book will be for you it is based on true events more info email me at vampire_8@q.com if you would like to see actural pitchers of the old house and a ghost caught on camra then email me
Raindrop Prelude by Chopin…
Listen to it.
A fever of 103 gives me the chills. Seriously. If you’ve had one, you know what I’m talkin’ about.
I have lost interest in vampires and the supposed Lycans. I do believe in them but they are slowly fading away. My interests with the paranormal are within Spirits and Entities. Ghosts in regular terms.
I have prepared myself for being a ghost hunter since I was five. Not missing one show that had to do with ghosts. I cleaned out the library of books on ghosts and ghost hunting. Hopefully now that i’m 16 I will be prepared to investigate my first house or establishment.
I read the first two Twilight books and attempted the third but I just couldn’t finish it!
I became so frustrated with Bella and the way the men in her life treated her like a child or a doll. And she let them!! It was super annoying.
Zombies and japanese horror movies really scare me the most but I’ve got to admit I’ve got a pretty vivid imagination so most scary movies and books, not matter how lame, scare me!!
In saying that though I do like looking up ghost videos on YouTube, some are pretty funny!
Cable tv shows about people and babies with
facial deformities. I don’t like to watch that – I don’t even like to look at pictures of them in books.
The Obama administration and all of his ilk including ACORN.
Whenever someone sing beautifully or usually with a lot on emotion in their voice, it could be a video on youtube, on the tv, or in real life, it never fails to give me chills all over and send that tingling feeling up my spine (in a good way) :]
FBI cases on tv..creepy
when someone grabs there tonge or jus pinches it…idk why. it jus does.
people who think the twilight series is good literature. brrrrrrrrrrrr!
Cold weather gives me the chills and ice in my mouth on a cold day.
What frightens me is, not knowing where my next meal is coming from after I lost my job.
A beautiful and powerful singer bellowing out a song where others can’t hit the notes.
I don’t really watch anything with ghosts, because all of it is fake
World War Z. Awesome book. And I’m not even a zombie genre fan! Incidentally, the power was out when my husband read this aloud!
Large women with calloused feet wearing flip-flops or sandals…
I have always been afraid of that Burger King man with the Plastic Face. I am middle aged now and he still gives me the creeps!
Zombies are my love. They’re the only paranormal creature that can really inspire fear in my every being (besides aliens, but that’s a different story!). Vampires have weaknesses. They can get tired, they can’t go out in the sun, they almost always fall in love with some girl and end up not hurting her. With zombies, there’s no such weakness. The only thing that can stop them is destroying their brain. When you have one zombie, you always get more because transmission is so easy. You won’t see a zombie contemplating it’s immortal existence because of some chick. That chick is already dead on the floor with her flesh stripped from her body. Zombies are truly terrifying, because they come en mass, there’s no way to reason with them, and they have only one weakness.
I LOVE the show Ghost Hunters!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, if Christians scare you….. BOO
I’m a Christian and don’t appreciate those types of comments.
When ever I think of the last out of the 2008 WS i get the chills because it was one of the happiest moments of my life
Reading the news paper everyday has more chilling stuff happening than anything I have ever read or seen. This is a dark world, if you read that. Try it, you’ll see and hear stuff they would never write or make a movie of. It’s terrifying and gross.
If you want to see real ghosts, watch “Ghosts, Spirits and Demons” on YouTube.
Wow, some really odd characters out here! I don’t know if you’re planning to read through all the comments or are even looking for book recommendations.
But if you love Sookie, chances are you’ll love Sunshine by Robin McKinley. The stories are nothing alike…what they have in common is being vampire books and being well written and much loved.
Back OT, I’m with you. If it’s ooky, I’m all over it. I’ve been fascinated by the occult for as long as I can remember. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and it makes the ending of summer bearable. That and the increase in horror movies on tv that time of year.
My passion: For the last couple of years I’ve been heavily into paranormal romances. I’m still going strong there although now I’m at the point of waiting for the next Sookie to come out, and wishing I had HBO. New authors pop up now and then, but few have captured my interest to a great extent.
The show, Paranomal State, gives me the chills every time I watch. Can’t be in the house alone at night after watching that show. I also love other types of fantasy/ paranormal creatures like vampires, witches, werewolves, etc. but anything about ghosts freak me almost every time. Maybe it is just because they have the most potential for actually being real. By the way, I also read and like Twilight, but I would not go as far as calling it well written like some other posters have suggested. Great storytelling and entertainment…yes, writing quality and editing…not so much.
I loved Twilight,Sookie Stackhouse and Buffy the vampire slayer. I have read and seen alot of books about vampires Currently I’m reading The series called Marked by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast and Night World by, L.j. Smith. Iove vampires! I think I have all the vampires for young adults.I’m only 12. Its werid i wont read anything other than vampires. I tried Maximum Ride Series, about birdpeople. It made me really bored. I’m werid I cant even imagine me reading books or even seeing a show about anything other than vampires. I mean I do watch shows like Daisy of love and stuff but thats it.

Books and movies don’t effect me at alll..
Following a drunk driver down the street,,
Knowing there are people in the city you live in that will kill you for no reason……
And knowing that piddling around with witchcraft, can draw demons to you.. those are scary……
i like this ?!!!! (:D)
The movie “The Happening” freaked me out. For those of you who haven’t seen it, you should. It makes you think, and while it has a bit of mild gore (not worse than NCIS or CSI), it is a good thriller.
Oh, by the way, no one I’ve watched it with has been scared. I’m a scaredy cat, so it is most likely that you won’t have to worry about being terrified or anything.
What gives me the chills is when people use an eraser that is down below the metal, so you just here the sound of the metal rubbing against whatever they’re trying to erase. It is by far the most horrible sound.
Requiem for a Dream, mann, that gave me the chills.
whoaah! Thanks for informing me that TRUE BLOOD season 2 has premiered! I love that show and couldn’t wait to find out what happened to LaFayette.
2012, The Apocalypse, polar shift, and heading towards a nuclear war scares the crap out of me.
no one really knows if when all of this stuff will happen. but it still scares me to death.
I am in LOVE with vampire books too! I am also hooked on Twilight. I just had to read it, once I heard it was a book about a love between a human and a vampire! I already finished Eclipse, the third book. All I need now is the fourth book, Breaking Dawn and Im finally finished! But I also get BIG chills when it comes to ghosts especially evil ones!
Ghosts, I really get hooked when I see ghosts websites and anything that features ghosts and haunted houses
I think I have forgotten to answer the question…well, what gives me the chills is thinking about something like…”Death Note: The Musical”
What could be worse then a very loved anime and manga and live action film, being turned into a horror musical American remake?

Sorry, just thought I’d share my thoughts…what really gives me the chills is worms. I have a phobia of them. And I agree with you, the best paranormal creature:Nothing beats vampires!
Unless, of course, the vampires sparkle, then the vampire is beat.
What scares me the most is the portal that seperates the spirits, angels, and deamons from our world. I can’t say which deamon freaks me out the most, but the worst fallen angel in my opinion is Azaziel. If you don’t know who Azaziel is look him up in the bible.
I am ABSOLUTELY hooked on True Blood. I heard that the second season is going to be “sexier, scarier, and more gore.”
it is my favorite show of all time!!
i love the paranormal too…but i actually go out in life looking for it. I’ve been in over 50 local abandoned houses…if you want a real rush, go to one of these places at night!! It’s loads of fun…
Vamps all the way!! Even before twilight came out. Its just an obsession America has right now and it’s all the rage!!!
The tv show Supernatural is AMAZING! I’m so hooked on that and every episode is absolutely captivating and gives me chills. That would definitely be my paranormal obsession! This show has gotten me even interested in the paranormal itself, and before the show horror movies terrified me. Now, I try to watch every horror movie I can. I love Dean and Sam! The Winchesters have got to be the most interesting and familiar characters I’ve ever come across! I LOVE SUPERNATURAL!
Bioterrorism, really unnatural looking things ie dolls moving on there own. Little children that are just wrong, the baby from trainspotting, Samara.
Black Magick and bad karma.
It’s an automatic and as-obvious-as-the-fact-the-sky-is-blue choice, Vampires rule the world!
AMEN BILLY!!!
I’m a horror fanatic. The only movies/books that have ever scared me are The Blair Witch Project (I first watched it at 2 in the morning XD) and Pet Sematary by Stephen King. Cujo (also by Stephen King) was insanely suspenseful and frightening, but I didn’t get /scared/ scared by it. Whoever got the chills from Twilight needs to see a doctor.
Twilight though..ugh. I cannot stand them, they ruined vamps for me, and weres.
Vampires don’t sparkle.
I just found a song by Theory of a Deadman called “Since You’ve Been Gone”. Listening to it gives me the chills. It’s amazing! I can’t find the lyrics anywhere though…it seems to be fairly unknown because I can’t find it listed on any of their albums. X(
Final Destination 2 freaked me out whem I first saw a few years ago I was to scared to get anything off of the top shelf or take a shower for about a week me and my older sister where even scared to get down a box of ceral right after we wacthed it.
evil spirits.
ever since i saw one after i slept in my dead uncles bed
Ive always felt chills when i sense one or hear my radiator talking
If you’re hooked on the show and the book you figure you’d at least spell the author’s name the correct way.
Charlaine Harris
I didn’t understand the frenzy over the Twilight books, as I remain unimpressed by the books and especially the B-grade movie. I am so tired of hearing about Twilight, and equally annoyed at the litany of young girls using the names Edward, Bella and Mrs. Edward Cullen as screen names. Everything about the Twilight series is overly-hyped ad-nauseum…and, like the misadventures of Speidi (Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt) I SO WISH IT WOULD GO AWAY!!
Well, I love Stephen King, but IT made me sleepless that night. I read it all in two to three days. And usually I read in bed before sleeping. I was afraid, imagining that monsters are there in the dark. I couldn’t sleep well those nights. From that time, I stopped reading Stephen King at night. I got really scared that time .
Hm, well, I know what yu did last summer and any scary movie might put me in a transfixed posture infront of the tv. not bec. I like it which I do , but because am afraid to move. (it might be funny to some) but sometimes I feel my body as cold as ice. As if I turned to stone. I also might jump out of my place if the movie has a surprise or someone jumps in the movie. Well, I hope this never happens again.
If you want some good gory Demon-killing bloodshed, then I’d recommend The Demonata series by Darren Shan. Glorious horror violence!
Playing the song “Stairway to heaven” by Led Zepplin backwards is soooo freaky! It’s like Satannnnn! He will give you 666! et cetera
I read The Exorcist; before the movie, in one reading. I was visiting my brother in the midwest, sleeping in a sunroom with windows on 3 walls during a thunder storm. SPOOKY!
I am not sure if what I am about to type would be considered a paranormal passion but, I would say WWE. I guess it’s paranormal to some small extent because it’s not a real popular sport and every time I tell someone I want to be a WWE Superstar when I grow up they always look at me weird or say something against it. As far as Vampires I’m not a fan of them but one of my favorite movies is Queen Of the Damned (the movie is based on a novel written by a woman named Anne Rice) and the movie stars the late-R&B singer Aaliyah Haughton.
World War Z, FTW!
I’ve always loved the supernatural! Finished the Twilight Saga like 5 times now. Witch craft is also on my list. Loved the Harry Potter books and movies, and any movie involving magic catches my eye all the time. I’m also making my way through the Ghost Whisperer TV show. Ghosts; always a good thing. And I also kind of grew up with Ghostbusters. They are just so friking funny.
Zombies on the other hand I really can’t handle. The Idea of a dead corpse rising out of the grave is just too abnormal.
Too whoever said s**t about Twilight and vampires not sparkling: When and who said that you can’t change the idea about vampires? See in my head my vamps can go out in the sun and they don’t turn into bats or sleep in cofins. So why can’t they sparkle? Stephenie Meyer just had her own vamps. And frankly I like this idea of vampires than Dracula any day.
And this is just my oppinion.
Clowns. Clowns are really, really scary! Especially “Pennywise”
If you are actually interested in real paranormal things dont watch those sitcoms. Watch “Ghost Hunters” its actually real. There are a lot of unbelievable things out there.
I sent you guys an appeal about a violation which was an actual question that required an actual answer and not an opinion. I replied to the automated message and sent you an email explaining how you guys are wrong.
This isn’t spam, this is the only way to get your attention.
the books you should read are, all of ‘The Dresden Files’ and the whole ‘The Fire Within’ series, they are god, but can creep you out
meant to say they are good
NCIS freaks me out sometimes. But mostly dont get scared by stuff.
If you like to be scared try reading some novels by H.P Lovecraft. He is a very famouse author.
Well my “chill givers” are mostly the same as yours but I am HOOKED on the shows “Paranormal State” on A&E and “Ghost Adventures” on Travel Channel. They are both about groups of people going ghost hunting. I love them!
Plus Twilight!
seeing fat people in bikinis, especially guys.
I’ve been into the paranormal pretty much all my life. I do not consider mythology and folklore to be in the paranormal spectrum, unless based on an actual paranormal experience such as ghosts and things of that nature. I watch Paranormal State, Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, and almost every chance I get I watch movies on Chiller TV. I believe there is another world beyond ours, even if it is all in the mind

Twilight fans give me the chills.
Twilight, on the other hand, gives me a headache from all the eye rolling that I find myself doing.
Thanks for the catch – we’ll correct it. Mitzi
Everybodys posting about Twilight. I for one never really liked the books, too much small print and large books give me headaches. I’d much rather watch the movies. Things that give me the chills… hm, well zombies, ghosts, pennywise, the grudge (I couldn’t shut my eyes in the shower&shampoo BURNS), chucky (my mother had a collection of dolls; HAD), and anything with roaches involved I’m paranoid and freaked for the whole rest of the night.
(:
the book the ruins gave me the chills. i read the book before watching the movie, so needless to say i didn’t enjoy the movie. but i recommend the book with two thumbs up.
The creepiest books I’ve ever read are very obscure – good luck finding them, but if you do, get ready to shiver.
‘Bad Blood’, ‘Hunter’s Moon’, and ‘Judgment Night’ by Debra Doyle. Nothing in the world sends chills up my spine like certain scenes in those books, no matter how many times I re-read them.
i dont really get chillz from moviez or bookz i get chillz from srryz, pleazes, and a bad break up like last 3 monthz.
OMG I just finished Twilight about a month ago and I”m sorry but I’m about to read Midnight Sun and Stephenie Meyer If you r reading YOU R AWESOME! and message to all I guess some small parts in the Twilight Series and probbaly the Grudge
OK… the only thing in the ’supernatural that really scares me are spirits… the fact that there powerful… invisible… and posses people… umm i can think they’re bad….
BUt mannn… I love me some werewolves….. vampires… naaw… the idea of blood dried, pasty, ever livin blood suckers sucks (literally) sooo im a werewolf person…. I noticed that noone mentioned ‘Underworld’…

The house of night series and Harry Potter are excellent but in the first 3 pages of twilight its just boring.
My scariest chills comes from unseen terror. The Blair Witch Project scared the beJesus out of me. Saw it at the theatre and I was the only one in there and after it was over I went to the restroom and no one was in there and the toilet seat in the next stall slammed down. Almost pee’d my pants. The Exorcist with the newer version with the “stairwalker” scene in it. That freaked me out. Paranormal State and Ghost Hunter does it for me, also. If you want a really good scare, visit the site “The Barton Mansion” and the demon in the closet video. I promise it will shake your soul!!
I had my True Blood fix. Wow! I also have to add clowns, dolls and ventriloquist puppets. They bring goose bumps every time!!
the supernatural , the under world have never scared me I really started loving it a few years back and I
stillI like vampires the best, with werewolves on their heels as a close second.I love the supenatural, doesnt matter what you call it.Underworld, other world,to me its all the same thing, undead=something thats (generally) come back from the dead, isnt truly alive, and is usually very difficult to (re)kill.I dont really know much about zombies since, theyve never been high on y list of my supernatural list.Im also a fan of dragons, mischievous fairies and mostly any other legendary creatures I love it all. Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has the best vampires in my opinion. Twilght was a really good book(I liked it LONG before it got popular, but her vampires are totally whacked as vampires go(I dont really mindthe change, its a nice-not to mention interesting -switch up(if she wants her vampires to sparkle, then Im all for it .Theyre her vampires, so its her choice)).I was a bit dissappointed with the movie, but I actually really liked it.if they would have made it only 15 minutes ahalf an hour longer, if they had done it right they could have made the movie amazing.I used to be terrified of being home alone.Id imagine terrible things every time the floor creaked, or an animal squeaked,Id have to put music on, to keep myself from freaking out. ive gotten over it by now,but for a while….It freaks me out when I find out people Ive known my whole life turn into someone totally different, .I dont know whos reading this, but just so you know, MY vampires CAN go out in the sun. if they dont its a personal choice., sleep is a n option,Not a necce necessity sity, And whe they do sleep its in a REAL bed, not a cofffin.Im Christian too and I would also prefer no more”im scared of Christians”remarks.oh yeah the question.I hate walking alone at night.:Id much rather not, thanks all the same. I will, but It gives me the chills and I get a bit paranoid.Yes walking alone in the dark=not for me.=(
Two thumbs DOWN!!!
