What’s the best way to keep in touch?
There are various ways to communicate with us and find more information about Yahoo! Answers.
What do I need to know?
The Community Guidelines and the Terms of Service (TOS) are good places to start. They contain the rules and guidelines we must all adhere to as members of the Answers community. You can find links to them at the bottom of all Yahoo! Answers pages. If you are about to post something, but are not sure if it violates the Community Guidelines, you can double-check from that handy link.
Where do I go if I want to make an appeal?
If your content has been deleted and -after reading the Community Guidelines and the TOS – you think it was a mistake, click the “appeal” link that appears in the notification email and explain why the content should not have been taken down. We’ll be happy to review it!
What if I don’t know how to do something?
We have created the Help pages for that reason. You can find information about how to use Answers and its various features. Just browse the categories to find what you’re looking for.
If you cannot find an answer to your question in Help, go to the Forum or to the Yahoo! Answers category. This category was especially created for you to ask the community about things you don’t know how to do. The community is always happy to help, and the most experienced members are eager to share their knowledge.
How can I be the first to know about what’s happening on Answers?
The blog is your place. You’ll find the latest news, tips, and other interesting topics from the Answers community. Subscribe via the RSS feed and never miss another post.
How do I provide feedback?
There are a few avenues: Post a comment to the blog, go to the Forum, or make a suggestion on the form linked from the “Tell us what you think” link at the bottom of each page. We will be happy to review your ideas for improving Answers!

neat i think my cell phone has helped me a lot when it comes to keepin in touch
I like email for keeping in touch.
It’s faster than regular snail mail, doesn’t have the “phone tag” problems with phones (cell or land line), and it’s certainly cheaper than cell phone charges….
What do you do when an appeal comes back and it is incorrect? I don’t think the community reads the appeals and that upsets me causing me to want to boycott yahoo all together. What should I do and who can I complain too?
Yahoo chat or just e-mail.
I agree with Lola.
While this all sounds very nice and user friendly, the reality is totally different. I have come to the conclusion that Yahoo, despite their claims of being ‘fun’ loving are far from it. Maliscious reporting, appeals that are a waste of time, far too many technical problems and a total lack of ‘Customer Service’ are the norm. Trying to get actual answers is impossible, and believe me I have tried. Having read the so called ‘Guidelines’ many times and even having referred to them by quote, they are still subjective interpretations and heavily slanted towards whomever has the ‘duty’ at that time. There is no recourse for a user who feels they are wrongly targeted. For example, your definition of ‘chatting’ seems to include any time someone asks a question. I posted a humourous poem and asked if people agreed with the sentiment of it. It was removed as ‘Not a question.’ I asked do people gloat after a friend’s (sports) prediction proved wrong, or should they leave it alone..removed for chatting. By definition, any question which gets an answer could be construed as ‘chatting.’
This place used to be fun. One could easily find serious questions/answers, or one could count on a light chuckle to even a belly laugh. Now.. who knows when your account will be suspended or any question/answer will be removed.
Subjective interpretation, where logic and humour are not allowed.
yeah…getting in touch with Yahoo is so effective when one requires an answer.
uh huh.
You’ve toned this way down it’s more like a kindergarten question and answer.
This has gone to the dogs just like del.icio.us has.
I just fall in love all over again with yahoo, especially with yahoo answer, since it’s one simple way to give back and share knowledge with community, local or globally. Go Yahoo!
