Answers Maintenance: postponed
Hey everyone,
Just to let you all know that the second planned outage due today, Thursday November 20th, has been put on hold for the immediate future. It has been postponed for technical reasons.
We will keep you updated on this to let you all know when the second outage is rescheduled for.

I can handle these if there was a purpose
I too appreciate when there is going to be a maintainance it will inform us. What I don’t appreciate is the breather message interrupting me when I am answering questions. I am not doing wrong.
I am glad these are on after midnight I hope to be sleeping by then.
I too am wondering if they Yahoo Answers could please clear out the questions that have been resolved

I’m glad ur making changes, maybe They should make a Yahoo! answers for tweens (13 year old’s and younger)?

it would be nice if a real person looked into answers that are reported for stupid reason and not get a response that is a form letter. I hate it when you say Yahoo is looking into it, but you never do. Some people report just because they are insulted. Not fair
yahoo has alot too fix. especially the currency calculator. i wouldnt like yahoo if it wasnt for answers

I would like the yahoo! answers for 14 and younger also. Maybe just even a slight section on the answers. But then again I answer the questions asked by older people…

How about fixing something this time? Really getting tired of the same problems cropping up time after time after time.
For example..the ‘breather’s,’ the ‘cannot find web page,’ the ‘no contacts have asked questions this week,’ the ‘web page not found,’ you know.. the same problems that have been plaguing this site and Yahoo for..well…a long time.
Looks like yahoo answers is gonna boost up for the holidays.

could you please implement a time limit on unresolved tiebreaker Q.’s and when they go past the time limit they get the no best answer and get removed
Well then, why have I been locked out for your coffee break since early this morning, 11/19? This happens all of the time when I try to submit an answer. Why is this?

I had been facing problem for quiet a long time.Your maintenance was long overdue.I have put the question also on yahoo Q/A..Worked accordingly to the sugestion recd.but in vain.you must come out with a prior notice and see that the page runs all right.
Wow i wonder what kind of changes or fixing you guys are doing i hope it changes the yahoo answer and questions home page if so i will be looking forward for that.

i have to say all these taking breathers is absolutely unacceptable – no other website does this. i am always having this happen on here and not impressed
I haven’t been able to get on since the 18th. All i get is still breather messages. The breather page shows that I am signed in. And, I can’t get any further than a breather message.
Since everyone else is putting their $.02 I’ll add mine. To all the posters that want a tweenie version of Answers: That would be a very bad idea.It would be almost impossible to keep the predators out. If anything,the age limit should be raised a little. Also some people need to read the community guidelines. It’s not right to report someone just because you don’t like their answer but it’s against the guidelines to puposely insult other members. Answers is not a chat forum.
I would love for Answers to get their crap together, because whenever I try to answer an important question, I get stiffed by that stupid breather message. It’s getting really annoying.
