Introducing the new international Yahoo! Answers blogs!

Tags:

Hello, everyone—

This is just a quick note to let you know that the international Yahoo! Answers blogs were recently updated and migrated to a new platform. You can find links to the new blogs on the right under Blogs We Like (New Zealand and Quebec will be joining the list soon).

We invite you to take a look at what the Answers folks in Asia, Europe, and Latin America are up to.

UPDATE: Just a reminder that these new blogs correspond to their existing international versions of Yahoo! Answers. Links are located on the bottom of the Yahoo! Answers homepage next to each flag.

  2. Cool ! International Yahoo! Answers blogs can be fun reads (even though you sometimes need a online translator to read them). People around the world ask some very interesting questions.

  4. Our small town is becoming international, how scary. Will the format develope into a forum to understand our diffrences and our common goals, or to share a humorous story,we hope it will be worthwhile.

  5. Maybe we can discuss the growing difference between the rich and the poor over the last hundred years.
I’ve been told that the flush toilet was the greatest invention of mankind. The automobile and the airplane really put a significant difference between the wealthy and the poor. Medicine and the ability to keep clean has added many years to the life expectance of the world. When we read that the rulers of Myanmar not wanting to take care of their people, why?

  8. Gee that’s great!
But can anybody tell me what happened to MY 360 blog?
    It disappeared …vanished…gone…kaput…

    Nor do I have ANY access what-so-ever to ANY 360 pages…at all…nadda…nix…bupkis…nothing.

So now I guess that I will go & read the Y!A blogs in the other languages that I don’t understand…..since i cannot have a blog of my own, nor can I access any of my Y!A contacts blogs…

Last time I checked, they STILL haven’t seperated yet…

And yes – I think the fact that I have the word “Toronto” in my name says a lot about my stand on this issue ;) ;););)

  23. I hope there can be a Yahoo Answers Blog for Israel as well. I have family and friends in Israel and we communicate a lot throught E-mails… It be nice if they could connect in the language they understand. Hebrew or Farsi.

  24. After my registration with YC Germany in 2006 it took a while until I figuered out that the little flags at the bottom of the page were actually links to YA sites of different countries. Ever since I have been participating on the American YA site. And since English speaking YA countries have their sites set by default to display Q&A’s from all other English speaking countries too, I’ve been able to help people from all over the world…:-) I can only encourage users to go ahead and try it – if you speak the laguage of the country you intend to visit, you’ll find it interesting!

  35. It is nice that you are able to get someting new going on that benifits you. Why not fix some of the Quirks in you answers page so navigation is a bit easier. I hate to be a griper but these issues remain unresolved. I am sure if you read the feedback form other users you already about them so I won’t mention them as they will be ignored anyway. As far as the blog goes I am not interested in that but I’m sre a lot of people will be. The best to you all up there in your efforts.

  55. Is this a blog for the answers team to post their tidbits of wisdom for us to dig? If so, where are the bits? I didn’t’ find one tid. If it’s a blog for us, then tell us so. We have much to comment on as far as the way things are going when we post a question and someone responds inappropriately. For instance, those folks who suddenly become experts in the field of psychology are the scariest. They tend to tell who among us is normal and who isn’t. Then there are the blatantly cruel who make comments like “glad I’m not you” or “try making some sense” after you pour your heart out. Anyway,Who’s blog Is this, and Where’s the Blogging? All I can find are people asking this question in a hundred different ways. HOW BOUT AN ANSWER? WE MIGHT EVEN RATE IT AND VOTE!

  59. I enjoy reading the questions and answers that are posted on your site. The spelling bums me out at times but I make it through. I like the Cars and Transportation and the Travel sections. I spend most of my time on these. I used to think that there was only one thing truly addictive. That was a DQ large hot fudge sundae. Now I have to add Answers to the list.

  63. Can you Stop The Dutch Government, from Killing the future of The Web?
IT stops at the Intersections, provided to Professionals in all Trade through the WEB.
The expression:”What the farmer does not know, he does not eat”, is a Policy still believed to be true for the whole Country but which only applies for Country’s Government, City Hall, and Police Force.
they exist less and less in synchronicity with people involved in Building WEB, and I believe we will succeed in letting all differences and odd numbered become One with us and Even as well as more identical without losing our Individual and Pure Origin lodged inside the heart of our Core Personality Computing.

The WEB holds all we know, all we are. What the Web knows in accumulation of facts has been taken out of Sciences Hands in Perception and Understanding facts as well as coinciding events my illusionary dream of existence has me mesmerized to my seat in the Movie Theater.
I only hope, all the people having a ticket (credit card out of commision) will not get desperate, because nothing always happens around here.
